Category Archives: Venue Wednesday Ah, the MAC! Have you been to this awesome historic venue downtown? Built in 1882 as a men’s athletic facility The MAC occupies all 12 floors of the building. Within are two dining rooms, 16 private meeting rooms and the Grand Ballroom, 60 guestrooms, 2 cocktail lounges, library, barber shop, child care room, racquetball and squash…   I love venues that scream “Milwaukee!’ when you walk into them. The Astor is one of those venues, and has been on the list of Historic Milwaukee Landmarks since 1984. When you walk into the room for the first time you can practically imagine what it must have been like to attend a ball there…  The Polish Center of Wisconsin No jokes about it being Polish…this is Wisconsin, people! I’ve probably done only a half dozen or so weddings at this lovely hall in the 15 years I’ve been photographing weddings in Milwaukee and every time I go there I wonder why I don’t have more weddings there.
